What we can source or advise on
Flooring (soft and hard finishes), wall finishes (paints, wallpaper and tiles), lighting, appliances, bathroom fixtures and fittings, sinks and tapware, furniture, accessories (linen, towels and rugs), windows treatments (blinds, drapes, shutters and more)
At Du Bois Design we start the process with an initial consultation which would take anywhere between 1½ - 2½ hours. This usually takes place at your home if it is a renovation or at one of our supplier's showrooms if you are building a new home.
After the initial consultation we work through several concept plans giving you a thorough understanding of the potential of your space. We tailor each design individually to your specific needs and lifestyle. Once you feel the best design has been achieved we will provide you with various material and product quotations. Detailed scaled production plans will be drawn up. We oversee your project from start to finish including quality assessments of products, workmanship and plans, plus oversee and liaise through the production and installation.
Once agreed as outlined above, we will begin the design process, as follows:
- Prepare concept designs – 2-3 options will usually be presented
- Detailed plans and elevations (working drawings) are drawn up
- Specification documentation – choosing materials, colours and products
- Pricing and quote preparation
- Liaison with suppliers during manufacture and fabrication
- Monitoring of installations – oversee project management
